About

The International Passive House Association (iPHA) is a global network of Passive House stakeholders including architects, planners, scientists, suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and property developers. It works to promote the Passive House Standard and foster a greater public understanding of its significance. Encouraging the exchange of Passive House knowledge, iPHA communicates with the media, the general public and the entire range of construction professionals.

Affiliate Organisations

Affiliating with unbiased, independent Passive House Associations internationally is one of iPHA's key strategic goals. In a formal relationship with iPHA, Affiliates have agreed to uphold high standards in their work and have integrated their membership with that of iPHA's. Please see below for all our current iPHA Affiliates and Pre-Affiliates.

Passive House

Passive House stands for healthy, comfortable living and impressive energy efficiency, regardless of the regional climate. Within the last several years, Passive House has gained rapidly in popularity, with over 60,000 residential and non-residential units in existence worldwide. More than 18,500 of these units have been certified according to strict Passive House Institute certification criteria representing a total floor area of almost 2,000,000 m² (as of 09/2018). Many of these quality-assured examples are included in the Passive House database, which documents more than 4,400 Passive House buildings.
